after the snowfall ...
the gray hairs
in your beard

morning dew
a farm girl sings
to the corn

wave petunias—
the crackle of band music
on a phonograph

grilled hamburgers—
a fly invites himself
to dinner

climbing roses—
the monkey bars covered
with kindergarteners

pink begonias—
the highschoolers pose
for prom pictures
