stillness of snowfield
a sunbeam peering out
the crown of a tree

winter morning
wet roofs covered by mist
foreboding snow

window glass and snow
fire twitters in the stove
flushed faces

watching the sky
falling snowflake
melts on the eyelash

along the street
ice cracking under feet
sour cabbage smell

winter morning
chimney smoke looks for the way
in misty sky

the town roofs
smoke from a single chimney
one crow flying

the stove’s chirping
warm coffee and plum brandy
smelling sweet
