night thunder—
shadow of a moth
on the screen

slow arc
of the sprinkler
fading summer

rusty wheel
of the flicker’s call
late raspberries

a silence
of crickets in the night
first frost

light breeze . . .
a leaf takes its time
down

Orion
rises toward dawn
white moths

autumn sun—
last leaves flicker
into the blue
