Sitting cross-legged
the Hutch receptionist
behind the glass

Pausing between bites
on the guava tree
the parrots

Diving in the sky
apsaras on the stone caves—
god-touch in motion

To reach the branch
raising her other arm—
twisted hibiscus

Spring returns:
autumn in my courtyard
unending

With sweated smile
stands behind the broken fence
his aged father
