        Time is a dragon,
        Its claws tearing us apart.
        Where is my white knight?

        Mangled twisted hands
        shove my face to the cold floor
        pray for my own end

About the Poet -- Kristen Bird lives on the Jersey Shore
(New Jersey); she is originally from Pennsylvania. Kristen has
an Associate's Degree in Social Science and plans on continuing
her education with the goal of becoming a professor of Literature.
She has been writing for about 10 years, but only the last 4 years
seriously. Kristen enjoys the haiku form because of the syllable
constraints; she feels such constraints makes one a better poet
all around when one has to confine one's self to the least amount
of words possible. This publication in Haiku Noir is Kristen's first!
