JANUARY Sky |
a weed high in the gum tree morning glory bluer than the sky |
FEBRUARY Death |
the scent lures me over hot sand and stones seal's death snarl |
MARCH Flight |
tattered wings in among fallen leaves butterfly's last flight |
APRIL Flowers |
Easter over drops of wax on the table faded flowers on the compost heap |
MAY Land |
close to non-vision Mt Donna Buang in the autumn mist |
JUNE New Life |
almost winter solstice all through the dark night wattle prepares to bloom |
JULY Animals |
a drab grey light and a ginger-furred dog behind the rosemary |
AUGUST Time |
shadows lengthen a blue deck chair empty on the paving |
SEPTEMBER Water |
moss between the bricks expands sound of water |
OCTOBER Loss |
the tree outside my door studded with green buds but I cannot find your face |
NOVEMBER Aquatic Life |
rockpool reflects the sky below, creatures move carrying on their lives |
DECEMBER Family |
in the east indigo glooms sisters hunch on the dunes facing the afterglow |
