Petals
parading past
New Year's crowd poltergeists,
too hung-over to remember
just why.

Bared

Stripping
holiday cheer
from January walls -
back to bare roots, I dream of spring
roses.

Spring Heralds

Pinwheels
in my garden,
yellow early warnings -
daffodils nodding in the cold,
warming.
