When you’re a kid, there is a kind of freedom and unapologetic nature with how you interact with others, and the world itself. Perhaps that is why so many of us look back on childhood with a rose-colored haze over it. Once you’re grown, it’s hard to remember what that feeling was like, to be a kid. You can remember the moments, maybe – like the time you went on an overnight trip in fourth grade, but not many details beyond the event itself. It’s through being reminded of those shared specific memories, like the sound of gravel when you run on it, or the smell of your ice pack when you open your lunch, or being relentlessly poked by a friend, that remind us of childhood, the freeing feeling of being your unfiltered self and having endless possibilities. Childhood is also when you unknowingly learn how to connect with others For me, it was through soccer. I joined the team when I was 5-years-old and like my age, would attend practice 5 days a week. This is where I met my current-day
