Filmmaker Statement

This short film was written as a tribute to author Gabriel García Márquez, an emblematic figure of Colombian culture, and his magical realism style of writing that we simply love. It was a challenge to transform poetic ideas into aesthetic moving images, and tell a life-long story in 2 minutes. The story is an ode to love and family and shows a how war and violence can destroy it all. But of course, in the end, we all hope that love will prevail.
