Filmmaker Statement

Every couple of months or so, our crew gets together, and we ask ourselves, “what’s the absolute stupidest thing we can film in our office?” As a company, we do mostly commercial work and unscripted corporate documentaries, so having exercises like this is crucial to maintaining our collective sanity. After a quick brainstorm, the clear winner was “A Shot-for-Shot Remake of Whiplash, But With Hambone.” We were really into hambone that week for some reason and deduced that Whiplash would be the funniest movie to integrate it into. The entire scene was shot in our office in Little Havana.
