Filmmaker Statement

I was aiming for a whimsical pseudo-fantasy with the film, which felt playful but also ironic in how it handled the story in question. It was meant to be silly while devastating, funny while sad, campy while serious, and so on and so forth. This is a film about fighting yourself and knowing that you can't overcome yourself alone. Isolation is what our worst thoughts and feelings thrive in. This film is about someone who is able to be vulnerable and what it means to be there for someone else and help them be the best person that they want to it. It's wholesome, it’s funny, it’s cute, but at the end of the day, it's a story that is highly relatable to anyone who had to figure themselves out. We all have an Isabelle, we've all been an Ace and we've all been yelled at by our whispers.
