Filmmaker Statement

This short, the first I have made in nearly 5 years, was born out of an abundance of time and access to a beautifully depilated apartment. Having not made a film in so long, I wanted to challenge myself, and in doing so experimented with creating an experiential piece inspired by the works of Kogonada and Ozu. My goal was to elicit empathy and caring from an audience, giving them as little context as possible, through the use of tone, pacing, and limited exposition.
