‘All Girls’ examines the terrifying consequences of society pitting young women against each other in an impossible race for perfection. But it’s also about the extraordinary love and bond that girls form, even (and perhaps especially) as they destroy each other. ‘All Girls’ develops this contradiction – love and destruction – through the lenses of comedy and horror. Leaning into the melodrama of both genre’s tropes, this film is a biting psychological study of the relationships between teenage girls.
