“All Up There”
A portrait of youth, womanhood and medical misogyny, 20-something Eilidh desperately seeks answers from her GP after debilitating pain presses pause on her life.
When you’re told time and time again that something is in your head, it’s more than probable that sooner or later, you’ll start to believe it. When you know in your heart that something is not right, sooner or later, you’ll want to fight back.
All Up There is a coming-of-age tale detailing the difficulties of growing up with a chronic illness. While the film is inspired by and features a very personal experience living with this debilitating condition, I hope it represents the similar, relentless story of the millions of women around the world who also suffer, who fail to feel appropriately represented or fully visible amidst their pain.
