This is a darkly funny, yet searing indictment of current abortion policy. Since the overturning of Roe, The American Academy of Pediatrics released a statement about the grave consequences of forcing children to give birth. Pre-teens that get pregnant will be forced into keeping their pregnancies. A 10 yr old was already denied abortion in Ohio. This is the first of many tangible impacts that the Supreme Court’s decision is having on young women seeking access to abortion. Unfortunately the statistics of girls 15 and under that need abortion are high and something we can't turn away from. "Always and Forever" reverse engineers the topic by having a pre-teen seek to adopt a child. While we all agree that is insane, it's no more insane than forcing a girl the same age to keep an unwanted pregnancy. I love to tackle challenging topics in a grounded style, using humor to disrupt the status quo.
