Filmmaker Statement

This was a film I made in my junior year of college. I was inspired to make a sci-fi film after watching a combination of movies, but the one that really made me want to make a sci-fi was George Lucas’s short film THX-1138. Originally, when I wrote this project it was a thriller, with the same basic concept of this film. I was encouraged by my professors to switch the tone into something more positive, so I did, and I am extremely glad I followed that advice. I feel like I’ve created something with emotional impact and that’s what I look for in the projects that I make. I hope that this movie reaches people and resonates with the idea that love can come in many different forms.
