Filmmaker Statement

Amidst a heavy rainfall in a small village on the konkan coast called Bangani, Balu Kaka's sleep is disrupted due to a nightmare. Balu Kaka knows the difficult times that he and his fellow farmers of the village have seen because of the lack of water for their crop. He knows that there is nothing stopping this water that is falling like a gift from the sky. He knows that if he doesn't get up and take this gift, there will be no harvest to yield, no village to live in, no life to look forward to. This silent film is Balu Kaka's journey to hold this gift as close to his heart as possible. The entire cast and crew in this movie are farmers from the village of Pat, Sindhudurg, Maharashtra.
