Filmmaker Statement

After stumbling upon a secret that she’s been hiding from herself, the unruly subconscious of an anxiety-riddled woman is forced to give herself an ultimatum: start socializing, going outside, and being their Gotdamn authentic self, or else her subconscious will have to kill them both! Beside Myself is my first self-produced short that summarizes a time in my life where I felt like the world was not a safe place for someone like me to exist. Thankfully, I'm finally comfortable being me, the world can be ready or not :).
