Filmmaker Statement

I am the director and cinematographer of this music video called Blue Dream. It was a song made by Troy Everett. The idea has been in my radar since prior to when George Floyd got killed from police misconduct. I then had approach Troy Everett on the idea, about the notion of a teen who gets killed by police officers, and comes back as a ghost, dancing throughout the city. As someone who has had problems with the police and faced oppression of my own, I wanted to state that I am by no means am trying to demefy officers who risk their lives and keeping the city safe. This was a music video that was written in 2020, when the emotions of police misconduct was high. Thank you for your consideration.
