Filmmaker Statement

Since every week as of late kinda feels like it might be the start of the end of the world (Climate change! The erosion of American Democracy! Global pandemics! Giant prehistoric land sloth viruses!), post-apocalyptic movies have become a little too relatable. Which is exactly how our protagonists Polly and Thea feel about their current situation. It seems almost inevitable and kinda boring that civilization has crumbled around them as predicted. We made this film as a way to work through all our anxieties and perhaps laugh at the very things that are keeping us up at night. And we hope you enjoy watching it as much as we did making it.
