“Boxed In”
When caught in between the claws of short-lived pleasure and the expectation of the music industry, a young rapper needs to choose between his art and his lifestyle.
This is my most personal project so far. As a black man who struggled with depression, this movie was a way to talk about the ways we tend to escape it using substances or other forms of short-lived pleasure; while also criticizing the problems of the music industry and the dehumanization of artists.
