Sharone: Making the short film Breaking the Internet allowed for creative freedom that I generally don't have in my production work. It was the true definition of guerrilla filmmaking. It's a representation of what I rarely see in comedic films, which is middle-aged women being funny while NOT looking for love. The best part was collaborating with the irreverent Marcy Goldberg Sacks; it was like hanging out with my best friend when I was eight. And she was five. Marcy: Breaking the Internet explores the “suffering in paradise” of privileged American mothers who manage the needs of others while ignoring their own. This character exposes the absurdity of modern parenting and technology from a mom who has no idea what she is doing. I enjoy making family-friendly films that help all ages learn to access comedy as a survival tool for the chaos in their lives.
