Filmmaker Statement

“Child Play” is very important to me as it is my first experience in filmmaking. Being both behind and in front of the camera is a challenging situation. It requires a lot of work and attention. As a woman, choosing a movie with the theme of violence against women as my first experience is also meaningful. In this movie, I wanted to emphasize how domestic violence is perceived through the eyes of an innocent child and make parents think who experience this situation. Children accept what their parents do without questioning and take them as role models and normalize the situation in their own way. I hope we can touch some areas and make people think.
