We made this film when we were working out what we wanted to do as a team together. The film is made on one roll of 8mm film over a weekend. We didn't show the composer the film, we just asked him to make some music for this idea and it had to be roughly as long as a roll of 8mm film. Then we stuck them together and watched what happened. That was the fun side. The other side is that food poverty in London is increasing and political apathy is hard to break through. Social media tells us to bond with people on the other side of the world rather than the people on our doorstep. We are increasingly un-politicised as a generation and there is no concerted push back against the capitalist order that brought recession to our country. This film is about two people who tried to fight back. And like most things - it was not a roaring success where they solved everyone's problems, it worked a little bit - and then it didn't. Life is like that.
