Filmmaker Statement

I made this film to express my desire to explore the bizarre nature of having to contend with the mundane and the traumatic in the same day, the struggle between the id and the ego, the journey from existing to fighting for your life. With women, this aberration of modern society is magnified ten-fold -- the city truly becomes a jungle, a journey to and from work becomes a trek through it. That liminal space between work and home, the journey across which your role in society switches from worker to predator - or else prey. That is something I wanted to capture; that space, which provokes the tension between the wolf and the sublime in every person, of which this film explores.
