It was an absolute pleasure working on this film in Dallas, TX. I wanted to highlight a Chicano (Mexican-American) story in a part of the United States that is often stereotyped to be full of farmland and Anglo cowboys. Furthermore, I wanted to give a fair representation to a culture that has been poorly portrayed in movies and tv - often stereotyped with street crimes and drug deals. Beyond the cars themselves, this story is about community, a 2nd chance at life and empathy.
