"DAWG" features up-and-coming AAPI talents Jesten Mariconda (Netflix's "Beef" and Hulu's "Pam & Tommy"), Krista Alvarez ("Sonic the Hedgehog 2" and "Inhumans"), Lawrence Sharma, and Sotida Arpon as friends who find themselves taking part in the collective experience of a romantic breakup. From the beginning I wanted to focus not only on the individuals breaking up but the shifting dynamics within their friend group. It was important to me the characters in DAWG were ALL individuals navigating the uncertain waters of their own lives. No one is perfect...everyone is a mess...but that's not to pity them, it's what makes them human and that's what made it fun to pit them against each other. These moments – the immature actions of a man-child, the sidestepping of a hard-hitting question, and the subtle, sometimes missed, opportunities for personal growth – are the soul of 'DAWG.' Enjoy!
