Filmmaker Statement

Director Statement My father was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer in June 2021. After a strong fight for almost over a year, he made his transition into heaven on August 2nd, 2022. People who knew my father knew he was a kind, loving and generous man. He exemplified these traits within his trade (he had a long career as a respiratory therapist) as well as in his daily life with friends and family. I’ve often heard people say, “ Ernie was one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever met.” Some family members referred to him as the “glue” that helped keep things together. As a son, I always knew my father was a great man, but at his calling hours and funeral, hearing people talk about the man he was and how they specifically were touched by him, shed an even brighter light for me on just how special he was. We truly miss him. This film is a dedication to my father, in his honor.
