Filmmaker Statement

This film was my birthday present to myself and was made completely solo. (It's not as pretentious as it sounds, it was deep in the COVID days - Jan 2021, pre vaccine.) It plays with uneven pacing, awkward moments, beauty in confusion to tell a feeling as much as a story. The story explores personal themes I love to examine: self doubt, gut feelings, being trapped. It also explores more global themes: climate change, trying to solve problems, but getting it wrong, way wrong, and why it never works to put a bandaid on a situation.
