I had the privilege to be an observer, finding inspiration and reconfirming the power of art in all its form through the making of this film. My hope is that the inspiring work of Denise Milan and the children/community of Heliopolis can help people uncover their own truth and in the process find the humanity that connects us all. "Why not let the surprise of the unknown touch us" was Denise's words to me as I embarked on my creative journey to make this film and I am forever grateful I did.
