Fantastic Friday is a film born out of a deeply personal connection to the vibrant culture of Trinidad & a desire to authentically represent the experiences of young Trinidadians during the Carnival season. Inspired loosely by true events & my own relationships with my friends, the film aims to capture the enigmatic nature of Trinidadian life, where drama, adventure, and comedic moments often intertwine. At its core, "Fantastic Friday" is a celebration of friendship, resilience, and the spirit of Carnival. Throughout the filmmaking process, focus was on authenticity. I sought actors who could embody their roles with truthfulness, allowing their performances to resonate with the audience on a relatable level. Music plays a pivotal role in "Fantastic Friday," as it reflects the events unfolding on screen. It features songs from legend Lancelot Layne (deceased) and incorporating music from the 1970s, we bring a nostalgic twist to the film in a way that is both engaging and unexpected
