Filmmaker Statement

Throughout middle and high school, I was an actor who loved going to haunted houses in the summer. I always wondered what it'd be like to go behind-the-scenes and really find out what it was like... getting to make this film was such an amazing eye opener to achieve that dream! Liana and Brian gave me full access to hide under beds, walk through their hidden employee tunnels, and let me feel like I was a part of the giant community they've built out of their own home. From April to October, they work in their off hours to transform their home with their kids into the giant maze of a haunted house seen in the film, and I wanted to lose myself in the world they've created while I made this film. I got to witness local middle school theatre students, parents, and kids from all around the neighborhood become a part of their own family to the point where I wasn't even sure what kids were their own. This film represents everyone's effort, talent, and performance, and I am so honored to have
