Filmmaker Statement

As I sit down to type this I find myself glancing at my phone periodically, my attention pulled from one screen only to be directed at another. Attention. Was it always this hard? Hmm. Maybe it's just my personality. Yeah that must be it, I have a short attention span. If my phone wasn't next to me right now I'd only find something else to distract me... Speaking of - let me just check I don't have any new messages. Okay - no messages. Good. Where was I? Oh yeah, attention... Okay look, I’ll admit, I have a high dependency on my phone. But who doesn’t? After all, something we derive so much pleasure from can only be a good thing, right? Something so normalised in our culture can’t be bad for us, surely? Can it?? 

Well, we made Ghosted to try and answer some of these questions. With this film we wanted to question ourselves, our behaviour and ultimately, our own dependence. You know that anxiety you feel when you leave the house without your phone? We wanted to make a film that felt like that. We hope you enjoy.
