My most recent short film 'Glow Up' is a product of my frustrations with social media and the way that can have an effect on your perception with self. The desire to be noticed or validated haunts me and drives me to a lot of self criticism by scolding myself in the mirror. I felt that kind of spiraling could be expanded on and elevated to a very psychological thrilling experience. I drew inspiration from films like King of Comedy, Perfect Blue and Black Swan. I set out to make a character study with the amazingly talented Morgan Turner and I hope you enjoy their performance because without Morgan this film would've suffered miserably. Morgan, the crew and myself worked extremely hard through very difficult circumstances and we are very proud of the film. Thank you for watching. -Mr. Salad
