Filmmaker Statement

Home Again began as a personal experiment, a way to merge my background in motion design with something more meaningful and reflective. I wanted to create a film that captured both the beauty and unease of our time, using surreal imagery and sound to express what words often cannot. Reimagining the “Wondrous Boat Ride” from Willy Wonka felt like the perfect vessel, a familiar scene that already carried hints of wonder and fear. By transforming it into a journey through environmental collapse and renewal, I hoped to explore the tension between creation and destruction, and how awareness might lead us back to balance. The film was made independently over three years, in the quiet spaces between client work, and became a meditation on patience, purpose, and the possibility of change.
