“How To Be A Human Being”
During a conference in a hotel, a woman in her mid-thirties meets a man that she used to date in her teenage years.
Director's short statement:
I would describe the genre of How To Be A Human Being as a drama, but with elements of black comedy. Although the film touches on sensitive social issues, it was important for me to stay true to myself - there are also dark comic elements.
The subject matter is emotionally close to me personally as never before in my work. For a long time, I stuck to the victim-blamer narrative when writing the script, but in the process of rewriting the script I suddenly discovered how I could take a fresh, bold and authentically #MeToo approach to the painful subject of #MeToo in a way that was just as sensitive.
