Filmmaker Statement

I've always been fascinated by coming-of-age stories, I love exploring the themes of relationships, finding you're unique voice, and the power of modern-day technology. A couple of years ago I started playing with the idea of creating a short film that was primarily VO in poetry form about the pressures that young girls feel to grow up too quickly. I kept moving on to different projects that came my way for a couple of years, but I continued to have this one in the back of my mind as something that I really wanted to explore. Finally this year I was able to bring it to life with the help of many amazing creatives and collaborators.
