Jumping back into the dating pool after nearly 15 years on dry land was one of the most thrilling gifts I ever gave myself. It was also the riskiest, most terrifying threat to the person I have worked so hard to become. As a People Pleaser In Recovery, it requires constant vigilance to not put myself and my needs last in ANY situation, sexual or otherwise. Dating again - and in particular exploring the dynamics of dominance and submission - I realized I was in the most treacherous territory I had experienced in a long time. In every interaction, I learned a little more about myself, for better or worse. I COULD DOM is my first exploration of these new insights, and based on the response to the short film and the script thus far it’s clear that June's story speaks to something universal and deeply felt.
