At a time when Venezuelan migrants are increasingly dehumanized in political rhetoric and policy decisions across the U.S., "En Tiempo Prestado" reframes the conversation. It centers not on crisis, but on endurance, and on the quiet, community-rooted ways that displaced people continue to build meaning in the face of uncertainty. As a first-generation Venezuelan immigrant, this story is deeply personal. I made this film to elevate the emotional realities behind headlines and immigration data. To offer a quiet, human portrait of what it means to exist in between systems, identities, and homes.
