Filmmaker Statement

"INIZIO", originally titled STILL, was created in May 2021. I wrote the script after experiencing the biggest psychological breakdown of my life. The film centers around a person who is strung out from the multitude of microaggressions that life has thrown at him. It's a story about suicide and shows how these "little" things over a lifetime expand into something bigger. It is a film about finding something to strive for, and believe in while you are going through a tough time. We are all not blessed to have great family, friends, or children. But, I believe, that we are all blessed to have SOMETHING in our lives. It could be as simple as breathing. This project, like all of my projects, is aimed to highlight the fragility of the human condition. I like to show how, even through all of our collective brokenness, that we are all still lovable. This piece showcases a blind spot in our world and how the biggest thing you need in life is love.
