Filmmaker Statement

Machismo robs many of us of the freedom we're invited to find in grief. While many of us may intellectually assent to the idea of our sadness and grief, we often fail to fully step into the reality of our less pleasant emotions. This film hopes to show that grief, both the tangible and intangible kind, is not something we "move on from", but rather something that stays with us.
