This is a deeply personal and intimate story for me. This brief, but confusing relationship I had as a sophomore in high school had a profound impact on my life, but I’ve never felt confident or comfortable to explore it. Throughout my time at USC, I’ve had terrific support from peers and faculty who have pushed me to tell more personal stories and I now feel ready to reflect upon and depict this life changing experience with emotional honesty. Each film is a journey of self-discovery and I know that embarking on this journey at this point in my life will be a rewarding experience and I’m excited to reveal a side of myself that I usually keep hidden. I’m lucky to have a team of kind, and talented collaborators who I’ve worked with before, deeply trust, and who I know brought their own individual backgrounds and skill to craft this sensitive, special story in my heart. For the longest time I couldn’t wrap my head around this complex moment, but now, looking back at it, I realized it was love to me.
