I wrote/directed Jobestown during the hellish depths of the pandemic. Everything was bleak and it felt like an impossibility for me or any of my filmmaking buddies would get a chance to work on something creative. So I designed a minimalistic crew that would and a cast of one (Plus puppets but they can’t get Covid). All of the crew trekked up into the mountains - double-masked, face-shielded up, and ready to make something fun! It was important to me as a creator and also as a team leader that the root of this was ajoy for both my crew and a future audience suffering through the most absurd times in most of our lives. Growing up in a traveling performance family that featured many giant puppets, this was a particular element that I was excited to feature in Jobestown. Having been raised on the road with only my siblings and my puppets to talk to has definitely added a quirky edge to me as a creative but I felt with the madness of a global pandemic, audiences would see the whimsy and
