Filmmaker Statement

For me, cinema has always been a very powerful art form. A great film for me is one which is engaging thematically, has powerful visual storytelling and offers a different view or idea on a matter whether personal or global. And it's always best when something personal could resonate with the public locally or even globally, that's the power of cinema and film language. I have discovered cinema at a very young age through my father and local TV in Iran while watching classics of cinema on TV screenings and film review programs and later, on the big screen and began to develop an appreciation and curiosity for history of cinema and the world cinema. Since I was first studying and then working as an engineer, I’ve found it not possible to make films at the same time but instead I channelled that burning passion into watching films from history of cinema as well as contemporary cinema of the world and read and write about films in forms of reviews avidly.
