Filmmaker Statement

This short film was commissioned by Nonesuch Records for composer Donnacha Dennehy's piece 'July' from album 'Land of Winter'. The piece is performed by New York cased chamber orchestra Alarm Will Sound. The idea for the film came directly from inspiration from the music and coincidental access to a large period house near where the director of the film lives - Co. Wicklow, Ireland.
