KKUME was created through a spontaneous and adaptive process. With limited resources and time, we began with a simple outline and allowed the film to evolve organically through the actors, locations, and the energy of each moment. This approach reflected the rawness of youth and allowed genuine interactions to emerge on screen. Rather than prioritizing polished production, I focused on narrative structure. Developed alongside a feature screenplay set in the same city, this short captures one emotional cross-section of that larger world. Divided into three interconnected episodes, the film explores different states of youth, passion, and secret. While each episode stands on its own, together they form a unified whole, connected through shared spaces and subtle emotional threads. Through this structure, I wanted to portray how people move through the city in parallel—briefly intersecting, yet rarely recognizing one another.
