This is a story about the powerful bond between sisters – two halves of a whole – and how love is always eternal. KOI is a narrative dance film about the grief of losing a beloved twin and the connection that keeps them present even when they are gone. This film was created with the intention of representing Japanese American women through a thoughtful and holistic lens. As a filmmaker and performing artist, I am passionate about works that engage in the narratives of diverse identities and authentic storytellers.
