Filmmaker Statement

In the Summer of 2021 I brought home a Kromfohrlander puppy, travelling from Kansas City to Virginia to pick him up after over a year of research and networking. This film was made possible by the connections I have made within the Kromfohrlander community throughout the process of acquiring, training, and showing my own dog. The film features interviews with my dog's breeder, his parents' breeder, and the owners of some of his siblings, aunts, and uncles. It is a way to share my appreciation for a breed that I find fascinating and that I believe deserves to be better known, as well as for a community which has embraced me.
