Filmmaker Statement

The idea to shoot "Last Symphony" came to me while I was discussing my progress in therapy with my psychotherapist. Initially, I wasn't aware, but as I recalled my old beliefs, I also recognized my progress. On one hand, I was happy about the insights. On the other hand, I was also annoyed that I didn't know certain things beforehand. Somehow, I couldn't make peace with my old self. My thought was that if I could, I would erase my past to be able to start from scratch with the new knowledge. With the process also came the question, "Who am I really?" I couldn't answer that question clearly yet. Therefore, in "Last Symphony," there is an open ending. But just as in the short film, I set aside everything from the past in real life and want to fill the question "Who am I really?" with life.
