Filmmaker Statement

Positivity is magnetic and it can uplift others and create a ripple effect. I wanted to make a feel-good film that conveyed that optimism and connection. As a first-time filmmaker, I relied extensively on the expertise of everyone on this project and I’m so thankful for their skills, optimism, and support. As a military veteran, I know what it’s like to put my creative career on hold to serve my country. What I hadn’t counted on was the community of vets within the entertainment industry who would bring professionalism, community, and a little bit of hoo-rah to filmmaking. I’m proud to say that my cast consisted entirely of military veterans, as did half of my crew!
